Heart Of Lace & Ribbons

Have you enjoyed a Valentine today? 

The small Victorian-style lace heart I am making is embellished with some of my own hand dyed silk ribbons, beads, and embroidery stitches using the silk ribbons and silk twist threads.

I have stitched this lace heart and the embroidery stitches onto a piece of rich plum colored moire fabric. When finished, I hope to turn this heart of lace into a small sachet. But first…. more embellishments!

Valentine’s Day is a time to indulge in fineries like laces, flowers, perfumes, and chocolates. If you don’t have a sweetie, treat yourself to something special. After all, affection starts with YOU!
