The Hodgepodge patchwork top is getting a border today. This top will be my next longarm project and I wanted to add a simple border. Rummaging around my stash, I found an old RJR Jinny Beyer print to use.

I wanted to add more length to this quilt so I thought it would be fun to add some of the remaining hodgepodge scraps. I decided on a simple one-patch strip on the top and bottom and I’m chain-piecing the 2-inch squares together now. When stitched, they’ll measure 1.5-inches square, the same size as the bright yellow squares found throughout my Hodgepodge.
What better way to use up leftover scraps?

I’m so glad you shared this pattern. I had so much fun with it. Your border looks great with those scraps. I can’t wait to see it when the border is complete.
