Binding For The Broken Dishes Quilt

I finished quilting the Broken Dishes and am ready to cut strips of antique mourning black cottons to make a pieced binding. I think that the small black binding will work nicely with this quilt — like a very thin frame!

Now that the quilt is off of the longarm, I can really step back and admire the overall effect of the quilt motif I used. The design is called Plumage and is from a pantograph at Willow Leaf Studio. I will use this pantograph over and over again, I’m sure! It was easy to work with, the placement guides are fantastic, and the design had excellent coverage.
