Star Trails

The Star Trails quilt began as a challenge with a quilting friend. We both had purchased a luxurious Alexander Henry flower print when shopping together.  Later, during a phone conversation, we decided to use that fabric in a challenge to ourselves. We agreed to use the Alexander Henry fabric in the center of some Variable Star patchwork blocks that we would swap with each other. We decided that we would swap 3 blocks. The block size was set to a 10-inch size when finished.

I finished my quilt and used the Alexander Henry fabric as my backing, too! Star Trails was machine pieced and machine quilted.
